Trimble, Scott, Robinson

I am researching a relative of mine named David B. TRIMBLE.
David was born about 1846 in Clackamas County, Oregon.
He was the father of Leora Beatrice Trimble (b. 1870).
Leora's mother was named Eliza Serena Scott (b. Dec. 1, 1850 in Clackamas County).
Eliza and David were married on March 7, 1880 in Lane County, Oregon.

Also researching a relative of mine named Eliza Serena Scott.  Eliza was
born about December 1, 1850 in Clackamas County, Oregon. She married David
Trimble on March 7, 1880 in Lane County, Oregon.

Eliza was the daughter of William Jehu Jackson Scott and Surrena Jane
Robinson.

I would appreciate any information you can provide on the Trimble or Scott family.

Thank you,

Ruffner

 Mrs. Peter Ruffner (1898?)
Mrs. Peter Ruffner died at The Dalles Tuesday evening.  She was born in
Ohio, March 27, 1832, and was married to Peter Ruffner in Iowa in 1852.  A
month after their marriage they started across the plains to this coast,
arriving in Vancouver, Wash., on the 11th of October, 1852.  They made their
home near Portland until 1854, when they moved to Southern Oregon.  In 1862,
they moved to The Dalles.  Besides a husnad, Mrs. Ruffner leaves eight
children, a daughter Laura Boehmer, having died on September 9, 1898.  The
others are Andrew Ruffner, of Seattle; Mrs. Joseph Marsh, of Wasco; Mrs.
John Koontz, Mrs. Alice Koontz, Frank and William Ruffner and Clara and
Maude Ruffner, all of The Dalles.

Death of An Old Pioneer (Oct. 1906)
Peter Ruffner, who has been living with his daughter, Mrs. Ellen Koontz,
in this city, died Saturday morning of old age very peacefully.  Mr. Ruffner
was sitting in a chair when he passed away and died so quietly that no one
was near him at the time.
The funeral was held here Monday morning at 9 o'clock and the body taken
to The Dalles for burial.
For many years Mr. Ruffner was a resident of The Dalles and in
connection with his death the Chronicle of that place says:
Peter Ruffner, who was aged 85 years and 3 months, was born in the state
of Virginia, and crossed the plains to Oregon in 1852, settling at Port
Orford.  He came to The Dalles in 1860 and was one of the earliest marshals
the city knew.  He was a stone mason by trade and much of his work is now
seen in the oldest residences of the city.  For the past six years he has
made his home with his daughter in Hood River.
His six surviving children- Andrew Ruffner, of Bremerton, Wash., Mrs.
Joseph Marsh, of Wasco, Mrs. Ellen Koontz, of Hood River, Frank Ruffner, of
Portland, Mrs. Clara Carmichael, of Seattle-accompanied the remains, which
were carried to their last resting place by old-time friends, Messrs. G. A.
Liebe,  A. Y. Marsh,  Henry Witmore,  Aleck Anderson,  George Ruch and Wm.
Weggenman.  Mrs. Ruffner died eigth years ago and was buried in Odd Fellows
cemetery.

Should anyone come across any information, such as to him being a marshal,
please contact me. Thanks!
