Filomeno Baca

Filomeno (Phil) Baca was born March 2, 1928 and entered into heaven with his entire family at his side November 5, 2008. Filomeno was born and raised in McNary, Arizona. He was a Korean Conflict Army veteran and after his honorable discharge worked in the lumber industry until his retirement. Filo and his family moved to Prineville, Oregon in 1973 where they raised their eight children. He loved snowmobiling in The Ochoco Mountains, dancing and spending time with his growing family. He was Eucharistic minister at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Prineville before moving to Redmond in 2000. Filo was also a member of the American Legion.

Filo was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Beatrice, nine siblings and his oldest son, Isidro. He is survived by one brother Robert, his wife of 57 years Inez, his children Anita, Philip, Dodie, Michael, Laurence, David and Evelyn, 21 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Rosary vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday November 7, 2008 followed by funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 8, 2008 at St. Thomas Catholic Parish 1720 NW 19th Street, Redmond, Oregon.
