Amanda (Amy) Michelle (Mitchell) Nash 

April 8, 1974 - Jan. 12, 2001 

Amanda (Amy) Michelle (Mitchell) Nash of Prineville died Friday of kidney 
cancer. She was 26. 

Viewing will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Prineville Funeral 
Home. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the ‚^ņ^‹Heritage Chapel‚^ņ^› at 
Prineville Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Juniper Haven Cemetery. 

Mrs. Nash was born April 8, 1974, in Eugene. She grew up and attended school 
in La Pine, graduating from La Pine High School in 1992, where she lettered 
in music and sports rally activities, was on the cheerleading team, was the 
Hawks mascot at many indoor games and starred in many high school musicals. 

She worked at KRICE as a Radio Ranger disk jockey. She attended Central 
Oregon Community College to get her nursing degree. 

She also worked as a bookkeeper for the family excavating and paving 
business. 

She married John Nash on July 14, 1995, in Alaska. 

Mrs. Nash attended Bible Way Ministries in Prineville. 

After high school she placed in singing competition finals. 

She enjoyed singing, ceramics, quilt making, horses and family activities. 

Survivors include her husband, John, two daughters, Desiree Benitez and 
Kristian Nash, and three stepsons, Bruce, Jared and Kyle, all of Prineville; 
parents, Mike and Rose Mitchell of Prineville; brother, Joseph Mitchell of 
Prineville; and two sisters, Jessica Stutesman of La Pine and Susan Edwards 
of Bend. 

She was preceded in death by a daughter. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
