Rachel Pedigo

   Rachel Pedigo a resident of Prineville passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. 
She was 94 years old.

   Services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at The Prineville 
Church of Christ, 1095 East 3rd, Prineville, OR. Pastor Del Towell will officiate.

   Rachel was born in Greeley, Colorado on March 17, 1914 to Elizabeth Margaret 
(Giesick) and Jacob Brethauer.

   She moved to Portland from Colorado in the 1940's and moved to Prineville in 1945.
 During WWII she worked in the Portland Shipyards as a certified welder. She was very 
proud being a 1st Generation American. On Nov 4, 1957 in Prineville she was married 
to Clarence "Doc" Pedigo. She was known as a very generous person and would do anything 
for anybody. She was a very good cook. She loved gardening especially growing flowers.
She enjoyed dancing, singing, western music, loved making ceramics, and won several award 
winning and also taught ceramic classes. She was a member of The Prineville Church of 
Christ and was baptized in the 1990's.

   She is survived by her children, Shirley Celpepper and Betty Lewis of Prineville and 
son, Bob and his wife Marian Pedigo of Prineville and step-son Dick Pedigo of Spokane, 
Washington. A brother Ben Brethauer of Idaho and a sister Dolly Brewer of Prineville. 
Fourteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, "Doc" on Nov. 3, 1997, two daughters, 
Laveda Bowers and Norma Jane Brewer, four brothers and three sisters.

   Arrangements are in the care of the Prineville Funeral Home.
