Willard (Bunney) Wilhelm Jan. 16, 1934 - Jan. 31, 2001

Willard (Bunney) Wilhelm of Fossil died Wednesday of an apparent heart attack. He was 67.

The service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Fossil Elementary School gym.

Final disposition will be held privately at Fossil Cemetery. Mr. Wilhelm was born Jan. 
16, 1934, in Spray. He enlisted in the Army in 1953 and was honorably discharged in 
1955. He married Evelyn Williams on June 29, 1956, in Goldendale, Wash. After 
military service, Mr. Wilhelm was a logger and cattle rancher prior to his retirement 
in 2000. He worked in Kinzua, Cave Junction and Prineville before moving to Fossil in 
1978. He enjoyed hunting, horses, and socializing with family and friends. 

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Bernice of Fossil; one daughter, Violet Bales of 
Prineville; one son, Delbert of Prineville; four sisters, Doris Ashmead of John Day, 
Iffie Ridenour of Prineville, Charlott Howell of Monument and Ollie Howell of Spray; 
five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren. He was 
preceded in death by one son. Prineville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
