The Hauslein Family of Illinois

By Adele Loudermilk

The Bend Genealogical Society is proud to present the history of the HAUSLEIN family of Illinois, by one of our members, Adele Kail Loudermilk. This original work is filled with pictures and copies of original
records that document the history
of the HAUSLEIN family.

Adele dedicated this book to her grandmother, Emilie Augusta Matilda HAUSLEIN HAFLEN, b. 1859, in Chicago, Illinois.  Emilie’s father was George HAUSLEIN, born in 1827 in Oberaltertheim, a small village of about 900, near Wurzburg, Bavaria, Germany. From 1839 to 1949, about 150 people emigrated from Oberaltertheim to America. Emilie’s mother was Augusta Bischoff,

born in Prussia in 1831 .

The book has a detailed index of

names, and besides HAUSLEIN,

other surnames included are DAUM, GUBBINS, and HALFEN,

plus many others.
