They publish a newsletter that goes to many veterans with new of interest as well as a column for
searching for individuals, units, etc. as well as a column for announcing reunions.

You can contact the National Personnel Records Center,
9700 Page Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63132.
Unfortunately a fire destroyed many of their records in 1973. But some records survived.

You might also check with the Portland Police Bureau to see if they have records of your Oregon ancestor.
