A quiet wedding occurred Saturday at one o'clock at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Lamberson when Miss Anna Hagen and Edgar Hook were pronounced man
and wife
by the Rev. Herbert Cullison. The groom is a cousin of Mrs.
Lamberson and is one of the
prosperous young ranchers of the Lostine vicinity. The bride Miss
Hagen has been the
efficient head nurse at the Enterprise hospital during the summer
and is a sister to Mrs. Hilda Elliott,
of Lostine. These young people have many friends both here and at
Lostine who Join the
Reporter in extending good wishes.
They will be at home on their ranch near Lostine in about two weeks.

Palmateer of our city and
Henry Harlan formerly of Walla Walla, at the home of the bride's
parents in North Joseph. About
twenty relatives and friends witnessed the ceremony after which a
delightful wedding supper was
served. Rev. Cook officiated. Immediately after the happy couple
departed for a short trip.

Mr. Albert Harper and Miss Letitia Cox, two of Wallowa county's
most popular young people,
were united in the holy bonds of wedlock at the home of the bride's
parents at Alder, on
Christmas eve; Rev. Cornwall officiating. A select company of
relations and friends were present
to witness the ceremony and the happy couple received many valuable
and useful presents.

Miss Helen Haun and Wayne Doak, both of Enterprise, were united

Rev. H. Cullison and left on the afternoon train for Council, Idaho.
Miss Haun is a daughter of

Last Thursday evening the home of Mr. And Mrs. Geo. Hayden was
the scene of a pretty
wedding when their youngest daughter, Helen Mae was united in
marriage to Ralph D. Kay.
The marriage service was read by the Rev. Howard E. Cullison, pastor
of the M.E. Church.
Only the immediate families of the young people were present. The
ceremony was followed by an
elaborate dinner. Mr. And Mrs. Kay will be at home to their friends
after October 15.

Last Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Ronald Wagner, was
the scene of a shower in
honor of Miss Helen Hayden about fifteen young ladies were present.
A clothes line to
which mysterious paper sacks were fastened formed the chief
entertainment for the afternoon.
The sacks on being opened presented a generous array of kitchen
utensils. A buffet luncheon
was served. The hostesses were Mrs. Ronald Wagner, Mrs. Wayne
Wagner, Mrs. Herbert
Browning and Miss Ramona Roe.
